The Eagle Conference Center at Heritage Reservation offers a diverse set of facilities able to accomidate most groups in a pristine, woodland setting, just a short drive from downtown Pittsburgh.

Facilties

Pathfinder Lodge

The main conference center building, Pathfinder, is able to seat approximately 150 at a time in the lounge and dining areas. Breakout rooms are available and can be set as needed with tables, chairs, projectors or even lounge furniture. A recreation room and full bathrooms with shower facillities, as well as four bedrooms able to sleep three each are also available. The great room is split by a large fireplace, offering two meeting areas overlooking Lake Courage.

Potomac Homes

Nine homes are fully furnished and heated, nestled in the trees on the shore of Lake Courage. Each home can hold 20 people and features a split entryway with three bedrooms upstairs as well as a full bathroom, kitchen, dining room and living room. Downstairs is dormitory style, a large room with six bunkbeds and a smaller room with tables and chairs, as well as a bathroom.

Semiconon Shelter

The Semiconon Shelter provides an outdoor pavillion complete with a campfire ring and picnic tables, perfect for outdoor programs. Other campfire areas are available when multiple groups are in camp at the same time. A grill and charcoal can also be provided for outdoor cooking.

Keystone Lodge

The first buidling upon arriving on property, Keystone is available to use as a meeting area or registration building. The great room features a large conference table that can seat 14, or be rearranged as needed. Decorated as a hunting lodge, a large stone fireplace fills most of the great room. Restrooms available, as well as a screened in porch. Large lawns surround the building and may be used as a parde field for many activities.

Valley Forge

The Valley Forge camping are has four tent-sites, each with access to latrines and water pumps. Two tent-sites with shelter, Fort Washington and Fort Huntington, also feature access to latrines and water pumps, as well as large activity fields

Campsites and Shelters

Camp Independence features eight campsites, each with access to latrines, water pumps and activity shelters nearby. Two shelters, King's Orchard and Great Meadows, also feature access to latrines and water pumps, as well as large activity fields.

Camp Independence

Large groups have used parts or the entirety of Camp Indepdence, our summer resident camp for Cub Scouts and Webelos. Additional facilities include two shower houses, a central office buidling, outdoor ampitheater, chapel, 800-person dining hall, large activitiy field, softball field, volleyball, tennis and basketball courts, Fort Washington, the USS Constitution (available for over-night sleeping adventures), boating and swimming beaches, UPMC fit trail and over nine miles of hiking trails.

Services and Equipment

Food Service

Food service can be provided for groups of 30 or more. Meal selections are breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and cracker barrels (evening snack). Food is served cafeteria style and the dining area overlooks Lake Courage.

Linen Service

Linen service includes sheets, pillow, blanket and towel.

A/V Equipment

The Eagle Conference Center can provide TV, DVD, VCR, overhead projector, computer projector and screens.

Boating

Canoes (with paddles) and rowboats (with oars) and PFDs are available, qualified supervision is required.

Winter Sports

Cross country skiis, including boots and poles, ice skates and shoe shoes are available for rent on the property.
