Parent & Pal Fishing Derby at Heritage Reservation
September 10-12, 2010
Prepare yourself for a tremendous outdoor adventure. Open to Cub Scouts, Webelos, Boy Scouts, Venturers and their parents/guardians. We promise a great weekend at a super price.
Fishing Derby
Do you love to fish? Spend a day on Lake Coruage and see if you can catch the lunker bass. We have several prize categories including most fish and most poundage. There are three tournament groups so you are competing against your own age: Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers.
More than seven miles of shoreline fishing and those with a current BSA swim test can use our canoes or rowboats or bring you own boat. There is room for everyone. No gas motors or motorboats allowed. All electric motors must be mountable to the craft.
Come join the fun. The fishing competition runs from Saturday at 6:30 a.m. until 5:50 p.m.
Housing and meals
Programs include Friday and Saturday night camping in one of our conference center homes (private room or dormitory) or in one of our canvas wall tends with cots or bring your own tent. Four meals from Saturday breakfast to Sunday breakfast and snacks Friday and Saturday night are included in your fee.
