Big Adventure. Zero Hibernation.
Adventure doesn’t stop when the temperature drops! Join us for Cub Scout Winter Days, happening every weekend in February 2027 at the beautiful Heritage Reservation. This cold-weather experience is open to all Cub Scout ages and their families, offering a full day of outdoor winter fun, target and range activities, creative crafts, and memorable Scouting moments in the snowy outdoors.
Families can choose between a Saturday-only program, running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and including lunch, or a full weekend experience that adds Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight accommodations. Please note that full weekend housing requires a group of at least 10 registrants.
The cost is $45 for Saturday only or $100 for the full weekend, with early bird pricing available through December 15, 2025. Whether you're brand new to Scouting or a seasoned winter adventurer, Cub Scout Winter Days promises snow-covered smiles and frosty fun for the whole family.
Program Features
- BB and Archery Ranges
- Snow and Ice Challenges (weather permitting)

All individuals (youth and adults), per Scouting America safety policies, must wear a helmet to sled.
We Need Staff
Think summer camp is the only time to be part of the action? Think again.
Heritage Reservation’s Cub Scout Winter Weekends need people who know how to have fun outside—even when it’s cold. Join the winter staff team and help turn a weekend in the snow into an adventure Cub Scouts will talk about all year.
From BBs, archery, and giant slingshots to Klondike games, hiking, sledding, snowshoeing, and everything in between, you’ll help run activities, keep the energy high, and give younger Scouts an experience they won’t get sitting at home.
This isn’t just another weekend job. It’s a chance to lead, teach, make friends, build your resume, and rediscover why you loved Scouting in the first place.
If you love the outdoors, enjoy working with kids, or just want to spend a few winter weekends doing something different, we want you on the team.
Bring the cold. Bring the fun. Bring the adventure.
